“Surviving Disaster” with Spike TV

As you may have noticed Underwater Thrills our industry blog has been silent for the past 10 days. While the shark world continued on without us, we were in the Bahamas filming sharks for a new television series on SPIKE TV.

Surviving Disasters.

The production team behind this latest series was first rate.

Tiger Beach was in perfect form, a shark site “stuffed” with six Tigers and thirty Lemons, perfect weather, and a superb underwater team lead by Scott Cassell and Luke Tipple.

Tiger Beach has never seen a more perfect combination of weather, television and sharks.

This is what we like to do in our spare time, run productions that are factual, pro-shark, and in the end ultimately entertaining. I also have to pass on some huge kudos again to Luke Tipple and Scott Cassell who ran the dive safety program. Both of these divers are consummate watermen and first rate big shark handlers.

Special mention to Neptunic Shark Suits for the safety gear for our additional crew.

Sometimes being in the middle of nowhere is a good thing when you’re with the sharks and Tiger Beach is as far away to the middle of everything that you can get. We’ll be back in three weeks with another production, another dive crew and another shoot, hopefully the sharks will be as easy to work with on the next one!

Let’s go shark diving!
